Christopher Bowen
BOARD MEMBER
Christopher Bowen has had a long career in the regulation and development of commodity markets. Until recently, Chris served as Managing Director, Chief Regulatory Counsel of CME Group where he provided regulatory advice to all operating divisions of the company on various aspects of domestic and international regulation. Prior to assuming his role at CME Group, Mr. Bowen served as General Counsel and Chief Administrative Officer of NYMEX Holdings Inc., the parent company of the New York Mercantile Exchange and the Commodity Exchange Inc. Chris is passionate about the developments of new markets and has played a key role over the years in the development of products and efforts which promote sustainability. Chris holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from Columbia University and a J.D. from the University of Maryland School of Law.

David Garland
PRESIDENT, BOARD MEMBER
David Garland holds a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications and has worked for more than 20 years in financial services in New York City in various roles including corporate communications and operations. He currently serves as an officer of CME Group, Inc., as Executive Director, Operational Resilience. His passion for agriculture and social equity has led him to pursue and obtain Certified Naturally Grown™ status for Queens Farms and a mentorship with the NorthEast Forest Farming Coalition/ Yale University. He holds a certificate in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion from the University of South Florida Muma School of Business.

Sean Garland
TREASURER, BOARD MEMBER
Sean Garland serves as the Chief Investment Officer of Klein Enterprises - a diversified real estate investment, development, and management company based in Baltimore, MD with assets throughout the east coast. In the CIO role, Mr. Garland works to source, evaluate, and manage investment opportunities related to the core real estate business. Originally from New York, Sean spent over ten years working in the hedge fund community. Sean has an M.B.A in Finance & Real Estate from New York University’s Leonard N. Stern School of Business, and a B.A. in Political Science from Northwestern University. Sean is an active participant in The Associated Jewish Federation of Baltimore, having served on both the board of the investment fund and currently as a member of the Associated Real Estate Committee. Sean is passionate about supporting initiatives that focus on mental health and wellness - interests that align with Eden Share's mission statement and organizational culture.

Scott Pidgeon
SECRETARY, BOARD MEMBER
Scott Pidgeon holds a Master of Social Work and Master of Business Administration and has more than 25 years of experience working in senior management roles in behavioral health in New York City. He grew up in Dutchess County New York and has extensive experience in farming and agriculture from childhood into adulthood and co-founded Queens Farms LLC with his husband, David Garland in 2019 (Queensfarms.com). Queens Farms operated a successful CSA (community supported agriculture) program, delivering fresh produce weekly for individuals/families in Astoria, Queens from 2020-2022.

Rose Marie Sime
BOARD MEMBER
Rose Marie Sime, MD, is a practicing Adult Psychiatrist with more than 25 years of experience. Dr. Sime began as a general practitioner and her subsequent psychiatric residency led to a career in psychiatry.
Her experience is predominately within inpatient psychiatric units treating acute patients in need of emergency care. Her love of nature began at an early age and these values lead to her involvement with Eden Share. She has long believed in the healing aspect of nature and agriculture that is now confirmed by emerging research. In addition to modern medicine, she supports holistic models of care that embrace an appreciation of the natural world.
